Endophthalmitis following XEN stent surgery often leads to poor vision, with Staphylococcus and Streptococcus species as common causes. Prompt treatment with antibiotics, and potentially stent removal and vitrectomy, is advised.

- Prompt administration of broad-spectrum intravitreal antibiotics is recommended.
- Early consideration for XEN stent explantation and pars plana vitrectomy may be beneficial.
