  • The patient underwent JJ stent placement and ultrasound-guided aspiration of the collection.

Findings:

  • Pyosalpinx can cause mass effect on excretory cavities.
  • This can result in acute obstructive pyelonephritis.

Implications:

  • Effective management requires double drainage (stent and aspiration).
  • Comprehensive antibiotic therapy is essential for treating pyosalpinx-induced pyelonephritis.
