Parallel phospholipid transfer by Vps13 and Atg2 determines autophagosome biogenesis dynamics

Autophagy requires rapid membrane expansion. While Atg2 was thought essential, this study shows Vps13 also drives phagophore expansion, suggesting cooperative phospholipid transfer for efficient autophagosome biogenesis.
