Summary

Repositioning traumatized teeth requires replacement and stabilization. An acetate splint offers an alternative when immediate repositioning is impossible, successfully aligning the tooth over weeks.

Background:

Tooth avulsion and luxation are common dental emergencies.
Immediate repositioning and stabilization are standard treatment protocols.
Flexible splints are typically used for stabilization.

Observation:

Complete immediate replacement of a traumatized tooth is not always feasible.
An alternative method using an acetate splint was employed.
The splint was used when direct repositioning was not possible.

Findings:

The acetate splint method facilitated tooth repositioning.
The tooth achieved correct alignment and position after several weeks.
This technique provides a viable option for complex dental trauma cases.

Implications:

Acetate splints can be an effective alternative for managing dental trauma.
This approach may improve outcomes for teeth that cannot be immediately replaced.
Further research into splinting materials and techniques is warranted.
