    Summary

    Polyporphyre and polycyanine dyes are not suitable for post-meal intestinal studies. These polymeric dyes bind to food particles and degrade in acidic conditions, unlike polyethylene glycol 4000.

    • To evaluate the suitability of polyporphyre and polycyanine as markers for postcibal intestinal studies.
    • To compare their performance against polyethylene glycol 4000 (PEG 4000), a standard nonabsorbable marker.
