Long-Term Survival After Aspiration Pneumonia in Older Inpatients: A Comparative Study

Aspiration pneumonia (AsP) significantly increases short-term mortality in older inpatients. However, survivors of AsP show similar long-term survival rates to other patients, highlighting the need for early intervention.

- Optimizing early management strategies for AsP is essential to improve outcomes in this vulnerable population.
