Speech language pathologists' self-report on counselling

- A cross-sectional online survey was administered to speech language pathologists in Punjab, Sindh, and KPK, Pakistan.
- Data collection occurred between July 2020 and January 2021 using a self-report questionnaire.

- The study included 190 participants, predominantly female (92.6%) and aged 25-35 years (91.1%), with most from Punjab (91.1%).

Conclusions:
- Professional experience in speech language pathology correlates with improved counselling skills.
- Increased professional experience also heightens awareness regarding the necessity of incorporating dedicated counselling training into the curriculum and professional development.
