    Summary

    Thyrotoxicosis, a thyroid condition, does not appear to be linked to hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. A study found no increased incidence of thyrotoxicosis in patients with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy.

    Background:

    • Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) is a complex cardiac condition.
    • Thyrotoxicosis is a state of excessive thyroid hormone production.

    • To investigate the correlation between thyrotoxicosis and hypertrophic cardiomyopathy.
    • To determine if thyrotoxicosis is more prevalent in patients with HCM.
