Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is a neurodevelopmental condition marked by persistent deficits in social communication and interaction alongside restrictive and repetitive behaviors or interests. ASD is sometimes accompanied by intellectual impairment.

Summary

This study found that parent-mediated physical activity interventions significantly improved fundamental motor skills in autistic children. An in-person workshop showed the largest gains in locomotor and ball skills for children with autism.
