[Correlation between the duration of storage and the immunogenicity of adsorbed antirabies vaccine]
Abstract:
Investigated were twenty series of a vaccine stored for various periods of time at 4 degrees to 8 degrees C. The remaining infectious titer of the vaccinal series was defined with the use of albino mice and calculated on the base of LD50. The index of protection was determined after Habel. A correlation was established between the infectious titer and the index of protection of the vaccine. Reverse dependence was found between the infectious titer of the vaccine and its duration of storage. It was shown that the admissible terms of storage with regard to antirabic vaccines should not exceed twelve months.
