Impact of Interleukin-10 Promoter Region Polymorphisms on Recurrent Miscarriage: A Case-Control Approach

Interleukin-10 (IL-10) gene polymorphisms were studied in relation to recurrent miscarriage (RM) in India. The rs1800896 polymorphism (GG genotype and G allele) showed a significant association with an increased risk of RM.

- The IL-10 rs1800896 polymorphism, specifically the GG genotype and G allele, is associated with an increased risk of recurrent miscarriage in the Indian population.
- The rs1800872 polymorphism of IL-10 does not appear to be a significant risk factor for RM in this cohort.
- This study provides novel insights into the genetic susceptibility of RM in India, particularly concerning IL-10 gene variations.
