    • Understanding DNA-protein interactions is crucial for cell function.

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To investigate DNA synthesis, spectral, and fluorescent properties of normal, leukemic, and PHA-induced mouse spleen cells.
    • To analyze cell electrophoretic mobility and nuclear DNA-protein interactions.

    Main Methods:

    • Flow cytometry for DNA synthesis and fluorescence.
    • Spectrofluorometry for intrinsic and probe-based fluorescence.
    • Electrophoresis for cell mobility.
    • Analysis of DNA-protein interaction tightness.

    Main Results:

    Related Experiment Videos

    • Leukemic and PHA-induced cells exhibited similar fluorescence and electrophoretic mobility.
    • DNA-protein interaction tightness was comparable between leukemic and PHA-induced cells.
    • Leukemic and normal intact cells showed similar DNA-protein interaction tightness.

    Conclusions:

    • Cellular and nuclear fluorescence, electrophoretic mobility, and DNA-protein interactions show convergence between leukemic and activated cells.
    • Despite functional differences, specific molecular interactions remain conserved in certain cell states.
