Summary

Combining the Clinical Frailty Scale (CFS) with P-POSSUM and NELA risk tools significantly improves risk prediction for emergency laparotomy (EL) patients, especially the elderly. Frailty independently predicts 30-day mortality in EL patients across age groups.
