Summary

A rare case of leptospirosis caused a severe brain and spinal cord infection (meningoencephalitis) 11 weeks after initial symptoms in an immunocompromised patient. This prolonged infection persisted despite appropriate treatment, highlighting a unique clinical presentation of leptospiral meningoencephalitis.
