Cryptococcal laryngitis in an immunocompetent asthmatic patient using inhaled corticosteroids

This case study highlights laryngeal cryptococcosis, a fungal infection caused by Cryptococcus neoformans var. grubii, in a patient misusing inhaled corticosteroids. Prompt diagnosis and six months of fluconazole treatment led to a full recovery.
