Main Results:
- 46 female PwMS participated. Mildly affected patients (Group 1) showed significantly better outcomes than moderately/severely affected patients (Group 2).
- Group 1 had higher PFM strength (79.5 vs 41.7), lower FSS scores (38.7 vs 54), lower FES-I scores (16.9 vs 40.2), lower UDI-6 scores (4.24 vs 8.42), and lower IIQ-7 scores (3.64 vs 18.2).
- Statistically significant differences (p<0.05) confirmed less fatigue, reduced fall risk, greater PFM strength, and improved QoL in the mildly affected group.
Conclusions:
- Bladder function severity in MS is significantly associated with PFM strength, fall risk, fatigue levels, and overall QoL.
- Interventions targeting PFM strength may improve functional outcomes and QoL for PwMS with bladder dysfunction.
