    Summary

    This study shows that Streptococcus mitis endocarditis is effectively treated with penicillin G potassium. The antibiotic is safe and effective for both intravenous drug users and non-drug users.

    Background:

    • Streptococcus mitis is a common cause of infective endocarditis.
