A Model of Burnout Among Healthcare Professionals

Burnout is common in ICU professionals, with resilience, teamwork, and safety reducing its incidence. Mental health symptoms and COVID fear worsen burnout, often by decreasing resilience.

- Resilience, teamwork, and a sense of safety are protective factors against burnout.
- Depression, anxiety, and COVID fear contribute to burnout, primarily through diminished resilience, highlighting these as potential intervention targets.
