Identifying research priorities is crucial for the advancement of the field.

Purpose of the Study:

To outline the process for identifying holistic nursing research priorities for the next 3-5 years.
To establish the philosophical underpinnings for these research priorities.

Main Methods:

A mixed-methods approach was employed.
Appreciative Inquiry and surveys were utilized to gather data.

Main Results:

Five key research priorities for holistic nursing were identified.
The holistic philosophical foundation supporting these priorities was established.

Conclusions:

The identified priorities will guide holistic nursing research and practice.
Anticipating future challenges necessitates ongoing discernment of research needs beyond 2026.
Nurses are encouraged to engage with the American Holistic Nurses Association's research priorities.
