[Hemosorb, a polymer-charcoal adsorbent for hemoperfusion]
Adsorbents used in haemoperfusion are briefly analysed. A new polymer-carbon adsorbent Hemosorb, worked out by the Biocybernetics and Biomedical Engineering Institute of the Polish Academy of Sciences and by the Central Research Centre of Cotton Industry. Physicochemical and biochemical qualities of the granulated adsorbent Hemosorb and Adsorba 300 C (Gambro, Sweden) were evaluated. It was found that Hemosorb is not inferior to the Gambro product.
