  • Pathologic examination confirmed primary angiosarcoma originating from the pericardium, despite initial diagnostic considerations.
  • The patient underwent surgical resection (total pericardiectomy) followed by chemotherapy, but experienced complications and ultimately succumbed to respiratory failure.

Findings:

  • Late diagnosis is a significant challenge in managing cardiac angiosarcoma, often leading to advanced disease.
  • Aggressive tumor growth and early metastasis contribute to the difficulty in controlling this malignancy.
