A comparative study of interhemispheric functional connectivity in major depression and schizophrenia

Major depressive disorder (MDD) and schizophrenia (SZ) show distinct patterns of interhemispheric functional connectivity (FC) abnormalities in the middle frontal gyrus and striatum, respectively. These findings support the interhemispheric disconnection hypothesis and aid differential diagnosis.
