Screen time in the development of cardiovascular diseases: A two-sample Mendelian randomization study

Excessive screen time, particularly from mobile phones and TVs, is causally linked to increased risk of coronary artery disease, heart failure, and ischemic heart disease. Limiting entertainment screen use may help prevent cardiovascular disease.
