P-suPAR may reflect the inflammatory response after pancreatic surgery

Plasma soluble urokinase plasminogen activator receptor (P-suPAR) levels decrease after pancreatic surgery. Lower P-suPAR on postoperative day 1 indicates complications like pancreatic fistula, pancreatitis, or surgical site infection.

- This postoperative P-suPAR profile may indicate a compensatory anti-inflammatory response post-surgery.
