Summary

This study found that pre-operative CT and post-operative radiographs effectively evaluated reverse shoulder arthroplasty (RSA) baseplate position and fixation. Most RSAs showed good component placement with no signs of loosening or radiolucent lines.

Background:

Purpose of the Study:

  • To assess baseplate component position and fixation in RSA using pre-operative CT and post-operative radiographs.
  • To determine the accuracy of radiographic evaluation for RSA component placement.

  • Retrospective analysis of 24 primary RSA cases.
  • Measurement of pre-operative and post-operative glenoid retroversion and inclination using 3D models.
  • Evaluation of baseplate position and fixation, including assessment for radiolucent lines (RLLs).
