  • The COVID-19 pandemic necessitated innovative virtual methods for IPE.

Purpose of the Study:

  • To assess a virtual IPE activity for first-year health profession students.
  • To measure changes in students' interprofessional socialization and values (ISVS) using the ISVS-9A/9B scales.
  • To determine the effectiveness of virtual IPE in fostering teamwork skills.

  • A one-group pre-post-test design was employed.
  • Health profession students (N=244) from seven programs participated.
  • A virtual case-study activity based on IPEC core competencies was implemented.

  • A significant increase in ISVS scores was observed in 85 matched pairs (p=0.01).
