[Oral acyclovir therapy in recurrent herpes simplex].

    Summary

    Acyclovir treatment significantly shortened the duration and reduced symptoms of recurrent herpes simplex infections in 25 patients. Early application of acyclovir also inhibited blister formation, with no dangerous side effects observed.
