Constitutive HO-1 and CD55 (DAF) Expression and Regulatory Interaction in Cultured Podocytes

Constitutively expressed heme oxygenase-1 (HO-1) and decay-accelerating factor (DAF, CD55) are present in rat podocytes. Heme increases expression of both HO-1 and DAF, suggesting a role in complement regulation.
