Background:

Reactive infectious mucocutaneous eruptions (RIME) is a term for postinfectious eruptions affecting multiple mucosal sites.
Previous RIME cases linked to COVID-19 were primarily in younger individuals.

Observation:

A 64-year-old immunocompetent male developed RIME following COVID-19 infection.
The patient presented with characteristic mucosal involvement and required hospitalization and systemic steroid treatment.

Findings:

This is the first reported case of RIME secondary to COVID-19 in an elderly patient.
The case contrasts with prior reports in pediatric and young adult populations.

Implications:

This case expands the known demographic of RIME post-COVID-19.
Further prospective studies are needed to clarify the role of systemic steroids in managing RIME.
