Efficient and durable electrocatalysts are crucial for widespread adoption of clean energy technologies.
Platinum (Pt)-based intermetallic electrocatalysts offer improved activity and stability over traditional catalysts.
Recent advancements in synthesis have led to the development of Pt-based intermetallic nanoparticles.

Purpose of the Study:

To review the preparation principles and methods for Pt-based intermetallic electrocatalysts.
To discuss the application of these catalysts in the oxygen reduction reaction (ORR).
To highlight L10 Pt-based intermetallics due to their unique properties and potential.

Main Methods:

Review of existing literature on synthesis and characterization of Pt-based intermetallics.
Focus on L10 Pt-based intermetallics and their structural and electronic properties.
