Summary

Retinal degeneration may offer early diagnosis for Alzheimer's disease (AD) and Parkinson's disease (PD). Ophthalmic evaluation of the eye provides a cost-effective, noninvasive alternative to brain imaging for detecting these neurodegenerative disorders.
