Withaperuvin O, a new withanolide from Physalis peruviana L

This study isolated eight withanolides from Physalis peruviana, identifying a new compound, withaperuvin O. Compounds 3 and 4 demonstrated significant anti-inflammatory and anti-cancer properties, suggesting their potential as natural therapeutic agents.

- These compounds warrant further investigation as leads for novel therapeutic agents.
