[Which therapy for which hyperactivity?]

Abstract:
In recent years, we have seen an increase in the prescription of psychostimulants among children and adolescents. This increase, partly justified by the better diagnostic identification of ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder), also seems to be related to a rather easy use of these molecules. It is indeed disproportionate compared to the increase in proven diagnoses of ADHD. This article argues in favour of deepening the differential diagnosis, before prescribing a psychostimulant, in the face of symptoms that make suspect this type of diagnosis in a child or adolescent. In all cases, multifactorial support is essential.
