Abstract:
A number of newer therapeutic agents are available for the treatment of refractory heart failure. These agents possess either vasodilating, positive inotropic, or combined vasodilating and inotropic properties. In appropriate subsets of patients, these agents have the potential to produce clinical improvement and improvement in cardiac function.
