Correlation of maximal nasal septal deviation with deviation at the maxillary insertion

Septal deviation at the maxillary crest (MC) correlates with overall nasal septum deviation, but deviation at the cribriform plate (CP) does not. This finding may inform understanding of nasal septum development and deviation patterns.

- Developmental factors, such as differential ossification and fixation, may explain these findings.
