  • Students responded to 15 EPA statements assessing their perceived role in pharmacy practice.

Findings:

  • A majority of students (pre-course: 11/15 EPAs; post-course: 5 EPAs showed increased agreement) found EPAs relevant to pharmacy practice.
  • Student agreement on EPA relevance and expectation increased significantly for some statements after the course.

Implications:

  • EPA statements may serve as a valuable tool for public outreach and attracting students to pharmacy careers.
  • These findings suggest EPAs can effectively illustrate the diverse roles of pharmacists to a general audience.
