  • Calvarial lymphoma is a rare condition that can be mistaken for other skull lesions like meningiomas or metastatic carcinomas.
  • Early detection and accurate diagnosis of calvarial lymphoma are crucial for effective patient management.

Observation:

  • A 45-year-old female presented with a progressively enlarging forehead swelling.
  • Initial workup, including metastatic survey and bone marrow biopsy, was negative.
  • A lesion initially considered for extensive resection was diagnosed as large B-cell lymphoma via biopsy.

Findings:

  • Primary calvarial lymphoma can present as a progressively growing skull lesion.
  • Radiological similarity to other tumors necessitates a high index of suspicion for calvarial lymphoma.

Implications:

  • Considering calvarial lymphoma in the differential diagnosis can prevent unnecessary extensive surgical resection.
  • A less invasive approach involving biopsy and chemoradiation may be the optimal management strategy for calvarial lymphoma.
