A new computerized warfarin management system (WMS) in Iran showed similar effectiveness to experience-based methods for monitoring international normalized ratio (INR). This WMS also reduced the number of INR tests and patient visits.

- Implementation of the WMS led to a reduction in both the frequency of INR testing and the number of patient visits.
