Background:

Surgical simulators are crucial for improving surgeon skills and patient safety.
Rigorous validation is essential before integrating simulators into assessment.

Purpose of the Study:

To evaluate the construct validity and reliability of the Rezum simulator.

Main Methods:

Seventeen participants undertook varied Rezum simulation cases.
Validity assessed via one-way ANOVA (p < 0.05).
Reliability tested using ICC, Cronbach's alpha, and SEM.

Main Results:

Total scores showed significant differences among candidates (p = 0.029).
Senior registrars and consultants achieved higher scores.
High reliability confirmed: Cronbach's alpha = 0.915, ICC = 0.899.

Conclusions:

The Rezum simulator provides initial evidence of validity and reliability.
It is a promising tool for surgical training and skill assessment.
