Summary

Dengue virus (DENV) infection impacts host cells differently depending on the DENV type. Prohibitin 1 (PHB1) is downregulated by DENV 2 and DENV 4, but only DENV 2 interacts with PHB1, highlighting challenges in developing broad-spectrum dengue therapies.
