Short-chain per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), such as GenX and PFBS, disrupt zebrafish metabolism. PFBS showed higher absorption and greater impact on metabolic pathways, including amino acid and lipid metabolism, suggesting risks for growth and development.
