Physical activity (PA) may protect against postoperative delirium (POD). PA may reduce POD risk by influencing cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) biomarkers like amyloid β plaque 42, total tau, and phosphorylated tau.

- These findings suggest that promoting physical activity could be a strategy to mitigate POD risk.
