Exercise testing

In the athletic horse, an exercise test may be required to measure the adaptation of the animal to a specific training program; to modify the training program in response to the progress achieved; to investigate the reasons for failure to perform at the expected level; and to form part of an overall clinical examination of a horse with a specific disability.
