    Background:

    • Natural antibodies against Major Histocompatibility Complex (MHC) antigens are well-documented in aged mice.

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To investigate the prevalence and characteristics of natural antibodies against Human Leukocyte Antigens (HLA) in normal human blood donors.
    • To compare the binding and absorption properties of natural IgM HLA antibodies with weak immune IgG HLA antibodies.
    • To explore potential specificities, such as HLA-B8, associated with these natural antibodies.
