This study found that omega-3 enriched oral nutritional supplements (ONS) combined with a Mediterranean diet reduced inflammatory cytokines in heart failure (HF) patients. Monocyte chemoattractant protein-1 (MCP-1) emerged as an independent predictor of mortality in HF.
