Abstract:
Heart transplantation in the rat is a simple microsurgical technique to study immunological problems of primary vascularized organs. The heterotopic auxiliary transplant model with a modified venous anastomosis is described in detail. This technique seems to be suitable for persons still learning without much microsurgical experience.
