Comprehensive data on the relationship between KCNJ11 polymorphisms and gestational diabetes mellitus predisposition:

The KCNJ11 rs5219 gene variant is linked to gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) risk, particularly in Caucasian and Asian populations. However, the rs5210 variant shows no significant association with GDM susceptibility.
