Summary

A new Brazilian value set for the EQ-5D-Y-3L was developed using adult preferences. This enables quality-adjusted life-year calculations for economic evaluations in Brazilian children and adolescents.

  • 1376 Brazilian adults participated.
  • Linear mapping without intercept showed strong model fit (R²=96%).
  • Utilities ranged from 1 (full health) to -0.0059; pain/discomfort and mobility had highest weights.

Conclusions:

  • A Brazilian EQ-5D-Y-3L value set was successfully elicited.
  • The value set uses a mixed-logit DCE model and linear mapping.
  • This enables quality-adjusted life-year estimation for economic evaluations in Brazilian youth.
