Sexual assault nurse examiners (SANEs) show knowledge gaps in human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection and nonoccupational postexposure prophylaxis (nPEP) guidelines. Further education is needed to improve care for sexual assault survivors regarding HIV prevention.
