Community Based Intervention01:30

Community Based Intervention

36
Community-based interventions in mental health represent a paradigm shift from institution-centered care to treatments embedded within the fabric of local communities. By prioritizing inclusion and leveraging existing societal structures, this approach fosters a supportive environment conducive to addressing mental health challenges while promoting individual dignity and agency.

Specialized Care Centers and Settings-I

Specialized care settings or centers are situated in convenient locations within the community and offer care to a specific group or population. They consist of daycare facilities, mental health facilities, rural health facilities, educational institutions, industries, shelters for the homeless, and rehabilitation facilities.

Methods of Documentation V: CBE

891
Charting by Exception, or CBE, is a method of documentation used in healthcare, particularly in nursing, that focuses on documenting only significant or abnormal findings rather than recording every detail. This approach aims to streamline the documentation process, improve efficiency, and ensure that healthcare providers can quickly identify deviations from normalcy in patient assessments.
In CBE, healthcare professionals establish predefined standards of practice that define what constitutes...

Rural Health Centers
Rural health centers are specialized care facilities in remote locations with very few medical personnel. The primary care providers who run the centers are mostly Registered Nurse Practitioners. Here, emergency treatment is provided to critically ill or injured patients before they are transferred to the closest hospital. Fortunately, due to advancement in technology, many rural healthcare facilities and professionals have easy access to diagnostic and treatment...

Healthcare Associated Infections II: Preventive Measures

2.6K
Essential infection prevention measures are based on the knowledge of the infection chain, the modes of transmission in healthcare settings, and the use of the best practices in all healthcare settings. Compulsory public reporting of healthcare-associated infection rates is needed to allow individuals and the community to make informed choices regarding selecting a healthcare facility.
The best practices for preventing healthcare-associated infections include hand hygiene, patient risk...

Area of Science:

  • Behavioral Health
  • Health Services Research
  • Clinical Informatics

Background:

  • Measurement-informed care (MIC), also known as measurement-based care, shows low adoption in US behavioral health.
  • Patient-reported outcomes are crucial for effective behavioral health treatment.

Purpose of the Study:

  • To advance the near-term adoption of MIC in the United States.
  • To recommend a prioritized core set of outpatient behavioral health measures.

Main Methods:

  • Reviewed nationally endorsed behavioral health measures.
  • Convened national experts to identify and recommend a core set of measures.
  • Focused on common behavioral and comorbid conditions.

Main Results:

  • A core set of outcome-based, low-burden measures was recommended for outpatient behavioral health.
  • Measures are suitable for value-based payment models.
  • Consensus is needed on quality-of-life and functional measures across diagnostic categories.

Conclusions:

  • The recommended core set aims to increase MIC implementation.
  • Standardized measures can facilitate outcome tracking and value-based care.
  • Further development of cross-diagnostic measures is warranted.
